Prior to her coming here, she taught biology at North Carolina Central University in Durham. She has a B.S. and M.A. in biology. She is presently teaching biology at SCC. Miss Armstrong enjoys bowling, outdoor sports, and sewing. What does she like best about SCC? — The general atmosphere and the students and faculty. Miss Armstrong is one of our first . black instructors. William D. Crapps comes to Southeastern with a number of years teaching experience in business and economics. Mr. Crapps was department head and in structor at Lander College in Greenwood, South Carolina, in economics and business administration; and has taught at the University of South Carolina and Lenior - Rhyne College. He is married and has three children. Sam Gaither is teaching psychology and sociology. He comes to Southeastern from Catawba Valley Technical Institute of Newton, where he taught social science and mathematics. He is a graduate of Erskine College with a B.A. in history, and he holds a B.D. from Erskine Theological Seminary and M A. from Appalachian State University. A native of Statesville, Mr. Gaither is currently residing at Lake Waccamaw. Special interests are tennis, water skiing and Ecology. Mrs. Evonne Little is a graduate of Southeastern and comes to us from the Modern Beauty Salon at Whiteville. Mrs. Little is married and the mother of two girls; Kim and Tracy. Heath Rada is another new “prof” about the campus. He came to SCC from Richmond, Virginia, and now resides in Sunset Terrace, Whiteville. Rada attended St. Andrews Presbyterian College and Virginia Common-wealth University where he received his B.S. He then attended Union Theological Seminary for one year. He received his M.A. from Presbyterian School of Christian Education. He teaches sociology at SCC and is an advisor for the SGA. Before coming to SCC, he was as a fifth - grade school teacher. Rada has a wife, Peggy> and two daughters; Margaret Grace, age 2 and Mary Talmage, age 4 months. He likes the relationship with students and SCC. Curtis L.
