“Too much trash: A group of Concerned Citizens speak out” The other day a small group of concerned citizens, who called themselves People In Grimy Situations, led by Mrs. Alexander Bogarld Farlingsworth, III, stormed our fair campus and staged a grub-in to protest the trashy situation on campus. Two areas in particular of grave importance to the group are the student lounge and the lobby of the Ad ministration building. “The abhorrable conditions into which these people let their surroundings fall are a disgrace to the community, the student, faculty, ad ministrators and the entire community college system in N.C.” said Farlingsworth. “The student lounge is constantly beingthrowninto a state of metaphysical disrepair”, she continues, “and all efforts to keep it clean have been half-hearted and to no avail.” Placing most of the blame on the students, Mrs. Farlingsworth still doesn’t let the custodial service off the hoo«k. “There is too much for these few men and women to do around here”, she says “but our group feels as though they could be doing better than they are.” Other instances which disturbed this noteworthy group are the disgusting ashes and cigarette butts on the floors of the buildings and “There is no Racial Discrimination in our group" says Mrs. Farlingsworth. My Generation People try to put us down just because we get around. Things they do look awful; hope I die before I get cold. This is my generation, baby. Why don’t you all fade away. Don’t try and dig what we all say. I’m not trying to cause a big sensation I’m just talking bout my generation. This is my generation baby, my generation. When questioned about their group, Mrs. Farlingsworth told our reporter that they were a small minority group that hasn’t received much publicity until now. “Up till now”, Mrs. Farlingsworth said, “People have just considered us a bunch of stupid swine. At this point we feel obligated to overcome this prejudiced and biased opinion of our group and the easiest way we can think of is to root out all the dirt and filth we can find and Southeastern Community College looks like a good place to start.” Mrs. Farlingsworth led her screaming mob off campus amongst jeers of “Sooeee, Pig, Pig.” from students who enjoy the trash.
