The Elon College Weekly. LOCALS AND PERSONALS. Miss Sadie Fonville spent Saturday at her home in Burlington. Misses Beulah and Mary Foster spent Sunday at their home in Burlington. Misses Bryan and Urquhart spent Wednesday in Greensboro shopping. Mr. Marvin McPherson spent Satur day and Sunday with his brother in Haw River. Misses Carrie Boyd and Bessie Mc Pherson went to Burlington Saturday shopping. Rev. L. E. Smith filled his monthly appointment at the Christian church in Graham Sunday. Rev. W. F. Ashburn, from Liberty, filled the pulpit here at the I I o’clock service Sunday. Messrs. H. A. Moffitt and R. C. Lewellyn spent Saturday and Sunday at their homes at Asheboro. In the Y. W. C. A. Sunday afternoon Miss Sadie Fonville was leader: subject, "The Secret Betrayal of Christ." In the Y. M. C. A. Saturday evening Mr. E. T. Hines was leader, it being the regular m-nthly devotional meeting. Mr. Flick, of Burlington, spent Sunday here with Mr. R. A. Campbell and as sisted the orchestra at Sunday-school. In Junior Christian Endeavor Society Sunday afternoon Misses Mattie Dawson and Kathleen Huffman were the leaders. Mr. E. T. Hines returned Wednesday from his home at McLanesburg, where he had been for several days on account of illness. The Easter examinations begin today. The schedule provides for two a day, Jrom nine to twelve and from one thirty to four thirty. Miss Bryan, head of the Art Depart ment, and Miss Alene Patton spent Sat urday and Sunday with Miss Jewel Michael in Gibsonville. Mrs. E. L. Moffitt with her mother, Mrs. Rhodes, spent several days last week ! at Burlington, with Mrs. P. H. Fleming, ! sister of Mrs. Rhodes. Misses Nellie Fleming, Pearl Fogle- man, Messrs. Sipe Fleming, Vitus Holt, and Claude Fonville spent Sunday at their homes in Burlington. Mr. John R. Shepherd has sold his cottage to J. C. McAdams and moved his family last week back to his old home community neat McLeansburg. Mr. E. T.
