NOT EASY
It is not always easy—
To apolcgize.
To begin over.
To take advice.
To be uncelfish.
To admit error.
To face a sneer.
To be charitable.
To bo considerate.
To endure success.
To keep on trying.
To forgive and forget.
To profit by mistakes.
To think and then act.
To keep out of the rat.
To shoulder deserved blame.
To maintain a high standard.
To recognize the silver lining.
But it always pays.—Rough Kotes.
THE RULE OF THREE
Three things to fight for—honor,
country and home.
Three things to think about—life,

Three things to love—courage, gen
tleness and affection.
Three things to hate—cruelty, arro
gance and ingratitude.
Three things to delight in—frank
ness, freedom and beauty.
Three things to avoid—idleness, lo
quacity and flippant jesting.
Three things to wish for—heal*.h,
friends and a cheerful spirit.
Three things to admire—intellectual
power, dignity and gracefulness.
