Dear George: Enclosed yoii will find my cheek fo $12.50 on the chair I pledged for the society hall. I sincerely hope that all the Alumni are responding on^ hundred per cent toward the equipment of the society hall. Nothing should thrill each member of the Alumni who graduated before 1924. moTe than to notice ■ the cut of the old administration building above the Alumni notes in the Maroon and Gold. That old building was life to us. and when we heard the crash of its walis there appeared a big cloud in the distance; but beneath every cloud there is a silver lining. The fire at Elon ■was no exception. With all the sad ness and strife, there appeared a big ger and better Elon than ever before; and today every Alumnus should be proud from the bottom of his heart to say that Elon is his Alma Mater. To say we are proud of Elon is not enough. We must talk Elon intel lectually, socially, spiritually and ath letically, and, most important of all. j-ust now, make a donation, whether it' is small or great. All working to gether, doing OTir proportional part, will make our leaT Alma Mater what we should like it to be. Sincerely, E. S. Johnson. Prin. Washington, N. C.
