The only seniors on the Elon roster this fall, the Christian stars who sang their collegiate “swan song” against the Bears armed tailback; Lloyd Kanipe, a hard-nosed linebacker; Wes Gilliam, rugged interior lineman; and David Oliphant, speedy defensive half back. Each of the four boys has been a starter for the Fighting Christians through four seasons, and each of them has proven both versatile and brill iant in various phases of the game.
