The expressions of the various players vary from the enthusiastic applause by some to the calm and confident repose of others, and it is especially interesting to study the express ions on the faces of Coaches Twig Wiggins and Bill Miller at the extreme right of the picture. Richard McGeorge Is Named for All’Anierican Grid Team (Picture on Page 4) Richard McGeorge,E- lon’s great pass-grabbing end, was named as one of the 22 Kodak All-Ameri ca team members in A- merica’s college division of play for the 1968 sea son. Wilkerson, Taylor andHunt were jun iors, with all others be ing seniors. That game, first for the Christians after the Christmas holidays, was sweet revenge for a 59 to 56 loss suffered at the hands of the Bears in a tilt played at Hickory on Wednesday, December 11th, ELON WINS 73-65 The Christians were trailing at the halftime break of the second bat tle played on the Elon floor on January 4th,but the Elon cagers took the lead for keeps after five minutes of the second half when Henry Goedeck hit an inside shot to gain the front 40-39. The Bears went into a press ing defense in the final two minutes and cut the Elon lead to five points at one time, but Goedeck sealed the victory with a follow-up bucket with 45 seconds left.
