The structure will be completed and ready for occupancy by January 1, 1970. ★ ★ ★ The big “see-through” trend may have started out as a fash ionable joke in women’s wear but it seems to have been taken seriously by shirt-makers for men. The news in masculine s|)ortswear is the “transpar ent” shirt. First seen la.st .sea- .son at Acapulco, it is now shown around the country in sheer lace, voile, cotton chiffon and other translucent fabrics. In regular shirts, tone-on- tone jacquard fabrics are new, and collars are appearing in a whole range of styles. Many are higher and wider, the Ix ttcr to show off the hig-knot wide ties that come in deep, bright colors. I CACE GAMES Elon 79, L.M.U. 78. Elon 104, Cumberland 117 Elon 79, Wofford 63. The Bruins broke away to an early lead, and with Elon hitting only 27 per cent from the floor dur ing the first half, the Lenoir Rhyne cagers were ahead by 33 to 19 at the half. At one point the Bears had scored 13 consecutive points while holding Elon scoreless. The Christians made a splendid comeback effort after the break, and they outscored the Bears by a 37-26 margin during the final twenty minutes of action. However, it was just a case of too little and too late, and the drive fell three points short. Richard McGeorge and Bill Bowes each racked 12 points to lead the Elon scoring for the night, with Tommy Cole hitting 11 counters during the fray. Lenoir Rhyne also had three men in double di gits, with John Davidson, Gerald Mills and Vernon Long leading the Bruin assault. THE LINE-UPS Pos. Elon (56) LR (59) F.
