Reilly said he anticipates a posi tive season. At 4 p.m. Friday the men will have their match against East Carolina University. Reilly said the team is very enthusiastic as they prepare to compete against a very similar opponent, one which is just as young. The Phoenix are prepar ing to compete against East Carolina’s aggressive defense. Elon does not want a repeat of last season’s 5-2 loss to the Pirates. “We want to earn respect in the confer ence and make it to the conference finals because placing well may earn a bid to the NCAA tournament,” said senior midfield er Paul Bellacqua, last season’s leading goal scorer.
