Page Four F. S. T. C. VOICE JANUARY 1947 Of The Class of ’49 Basketball Schedule Attendant at Fayetteville State Teachers College is a dignified non classified students who goes to classes promptly but never tal\cs a book, not even a note book. Since his schedule is the same as that of his devoted pal and master, a veteran, he has only to take his place at his master’s feet; and tliere will be no ab sences. Due to the crowded conditions in your dining hall, he has been unable to find a definite seat but he usually manages to make meal by getting bits here and there. He is a constant visitor at the Canteen, and 1 think that his favorite order is “a hot dog and bottle of milk.” The Library is one of the places he likes to visit, for there he can review his favorite books, “Black ik'auty” and “Lassie Come Home.” But I think he says that he likes some heavy reading too, since his pal is very fond of it. He appreciates the strictness of the director of dramatics and makes all rehearsals on time. When he is not on the stage he sits in a orderly manner as any good guild member would. He is hoping to receive a credit point at the end of the quarter for his promptness and loyalty in dra matics. As he lay groaning from a wound received while helping to make a float for Home-coming, no one seemed able to comfort him or soothe the agony but his master. Others tried earnestly, but in vain. The moans ceased immediately when he found him self in the arms of his master, 'i'he look in his liquied brow'o eyes seemed to say, “Don’t worry Master, I’ll be all right.” Unfortunately, the Home-com ing game had to proceed without him, but on Saturday, Novem ber 9th at the Saint Augustine vs. Fayetteville game, who could be seen on the gr;dron but this loyal student in his usual place at the feet of his adored jnaster, “rooting” for his dear old F. S. T. C. Many students expressed the opinion that the winning of the game on November 9th was par tially due to the reappearance of the popular non-classified can ine student, Main-ice Haye’s “Butch.” Home Games Jan. 11—555th Paratroopers. 10—St. Augustine College 18—A & T College. 21—Montfort Pt.
