Extension Classes For the second consecutive year clr.ssss on the Freshman level are being conducted at Fort Bragg. This year forty-eight men are reg istered for the work in English, Mathematics and the Social Sciences. The instructors, Messrs Andrew L. Scott, John W. Parker, and Marian L. C. “Fayetteville State was highly recommended to me. I have found it to be a very pleasant place.” Caesar Ross B. T. Bowser of Fayetteville who was graduated in the class of ’42 be came a “first” in the city of Fay etteville when on June 13, 1949 he accepted a position as a “disc jockey” for the local W. F. L. B. radio station. Mr. Bowser’s pro gram is known as the “Eye Open er Club” because it is heard from 6:15 to 7:00 o’clock in the morn ing, Monday through Saturday. It is sponsored by the Negro busi ness men of Fayetteville. Mr. Bowser is married to the former Miss Myrtle Jones. They have two children ■— William James Jr., four, and James D. who is three. Mr. Bowser says his biggest thrill thus far came “the day when I received over a hundred letters and cards.” Another local young man, Mr. James Paye, appears on the same station at 11:05 to 11:45 p. m.
