Drama Clinic
The fourth annual one-day
drama clinic is scheduled for Feb
ruary 4, 1949. There will be morn
ing, afternoon and evening ses
sions. Miss Mary Bohanan, Di
rector of Dramatics at North Caro
lina College at Durham, will eval
uate a play given at the afternoon
session by the Brawley High
School Players, and at the even
ing session “Caesar and Cleo
patra” will be presented by tour
ing players from New York City.

The veteran teacher, Mrs.
Mayme Turner, who worked for
“many years” in Duplin County
was signally honored when a few
weeks ago leaders in education
from the State Department of
Public Instruction and from many
sections of the state held a testi
monial program for her. A re
cording of the ’'ro£'ram was pre
sented at a recent chapel as~
sembly.
Mrs. Mayme Turner is the
mother of Miss Lois P. Turner
of our faculty.

century, Mother Bryant gave her
self to the development of the
College in general, and to the de
velopment of fine womanhood in
particular.
