We enjoy participating in the choir and we are doing everything that we can to make our school proud of us. We hope our con stant practices will enable us to make many successful appear - ances. McPherson Seniors In The Spotlight JESSIE CRUMP The class of ’61 has had many wonderful and profitable experi ences here at Fayetteville State Teachers college, and is anticipat ing more of the same. As we look back, we see many things of which we are proud. We entered full of energy, enthusiasm and ambition, and all of this was shown in our all - outefforts to win homecoming queen in ’57. Starting this year off with ap proximately twenty students here during Orientation Week, the sen iors were well represented. We sa lute the band members of the class of ’61. As seniors, we have seen Ethel Gore represent our chapter of Zeta Phi Beta at a meeting in Asheville, North Carolina, Lula Harper and Bernice Ray repre sent Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority in Raleigh, North Carolina. Alphonso Morehead is a letter- man on the football team and Josie Foushee is attendant to Miss Homecoming for 1960-61.
