The Right Christmas Spirit
by Hubert Simmons
Christmas comes only
once a year. It brings with
it sounds of cheer and
feelings of good will. Un
fortunately, there are
those of us who have for
gotten the true meaning
of Christmas. Some of
us think of it only as a
time for exchanging gifts
and not as a time for
recognizing the birth of
our saviour, Jesus
Christ. We must remem
ber that when we exchange
gifts, unless we do it in
the right spirit, it means
nothing. Christmas is a
time for getting together
and realizing how good
it feels to be alive.
Christmas is a special
time of year, because
there seems to be a ra
diance that comes from
our hearts and makes the
whole world seem bright
er. This Christmas, don’t
lose that yuletide spirit
which binds us together.
Keep the right spirit and
enjoy your Christmas.
Have a happy holiday!

N.T. E.Changes
I'he .luniors and Sen
iors should be especially
interested in the two im
portant changes that will
be found in the National
Teacher Examinationtiiis
year. These changes arc:
1. Content and length
of NTE tests
2. Administration dates
To shorten the test, the
three tests of profession
al Education (psychologi
cal Foundations of Educa
tional, Social Foundations
of Education and Teaching
Principal and Practices)
will be combined into a
one 90 minute Profes
sional Education Test.
This will yield a two-
diget score of the over
all achievements in this
field. This new Profes
sional Education Test will
carry the same weight in
computing the Weighted
Common Examination
Total Score, (39 points).
The afternoon NTE
Test will be devoted sole
ly to the administration
of Teaching Area Exam
ination; this will take 120
minutes.
Testing dates are; Jan
uary 3,1968, April 6,1968
and July 6, 1968. A fee
of three dollars will have
to be paid for late regis
tration forms.
