THE VOICF...MAY 12, 1971...PAGE 11 Introdution to Data Processing Recently there has been introduced a joint course in Computer science at Fayetteville State Uni versity and North Caro lina State University. This is one of the cour ses that we have long waited for. Many students here have enrolled and find this course more in teresting than they anti cipated. The staff con sists of two teachers from FSU and two from NCSU. The two instruc tors from FSU are Dr. Henry M. Eldridge, Chairman Dept, of Math., and Mrs. Sylvia Black, ‘ also of the Math Dept. He is chief consultant for the Litton Industries’ “Problematical Recreations” series as well, and still finds time for such hobbies as horseback riding, body- surfing, boogie-woogie and jazz (vintage 1930), ancient Greek and Roman satiric poetry, English literature of the 17th and 18th centuries — and, of course, puzzles, problems, and games of which he claims to have a book collection exceeded, if at all, only by the Library of Congress.
