William Brown
Gives Concert
On January 26, Fayetteville
State University was visited by
an outstanding tenor, William
Brown.
Mr. Brown has aK)eared in
five world and U.S. premieres.
He was the first soloist to ap.
pear four times in one season
with the Baltimore Symphony Or
chestra.
William Brown entered Jack
son State College with a scholar
ship in trumpet, but soon changed
to voice, in which major he
graduated. His graduate studies
were at Indiana University School
of Music, which awarded him a
Masters Degree in Voice, He
has also worked towards his
Doctorate at the Peabody Con
servatory.
He delivered an outstanding
concert which all of Fayetteville
State will remember for many
years to come.
