SGA PRESIDENT The Elusive Stranger BY JACKLYN MCDONALD Love, that elusive stranger, stood before me again, I attempted to touch him but it was in vain. I could see him clearly, hear his voice, see his smile, But when I raised my arms to him, he only laughed and said that I would have to wait a while. Yes, once again, love was within my reach but beyond my grasp. I saw him turn and walk away. Not even my anquish cries could bid him stay. Slowly he faded like the remains of a shooting star, And to my heart there was added another scar. But through all the agony, misery and pain, I still wait for love, my elusive stranger, To stand before me once again. Student Government President He heads the political scene for ‘73-74. Israel Charles Robinson, a native of Hickory, N.C., is a member of Cocoa Phi Cocoa Social Fellowship and the Drama Guild. The Speech and Theatre major felt that he has something to offer FSU, therefore, he sought to obtain the Presidency of the SGA. Swiveling at his office desk, the nonchalant Mr. Robinson says he plans to give 100 percent effort, total dedication and responsible cooperation to the student body. When asked about his future outlook, the Gemini born Robinson commented, “It is because of my co-workers’ efficiency and their potential for efficiency that I look for a bright year.” President Robinson admits he has the cooperation of the administration. Robinson plans to attend graduate school and hopes to major in law or speech pathology. ANGELA CALLOWAY...MISS FSU Miss FSU The 1973-74 reigning beauty for Fayetteville State University, is Angela Calloway. Angie is the 21 year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lonnie Sparks of Jacksonville. N.C. Miss Fayetteville State University has two sisters. Angie is a member of the Women’s Council and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority. Born under the astronautical sign of Cancer, the artistic Miss Calloway enjoys sewing and jgppefeDic When asked why did she choose to run as Miss FSU, Angie replied: “I wanted the opportunity to meet people and to serve the University. The position which I hold is one of dignity and I hope to fill it as such.” Miss FSU stresses student participation in all campus activities. She said, “Everyone should take part in University activities. The school is only what the student body puts in it. Every student should give what he has to Offer to Fayetteville State University.” Anglea, an Elementary Education major, advises Fayetteville State women to carry themselves in a womanly manner which includes language, dress and their activities. “Be yourself,” she said. | I As the reigning beauty queen, Angie feels that co-eds should tiake advantage of those l^atures which enhance their beauty! “Read the fasion pages.” Angie’s short range plans are to travel, possibly working with an airline. In the future she would like to own and operate a day care center for pre-schoolers.
