LETTER OF THANKS
From the Clean-up Man
In the cold of early November and December mornings, a
dark figure crawls out of a warm bed and reports to work. His
tools are a tired and sleepy body, a burlap bag and a three foot
stick with a spike in the tip. Who is it you say? . . .
It’s your clean up man - James Kaison, III, a former student
at FSU I pick up the litter that has been carelessly dropped on
the campus. I must admit that at one time or another I have
improperly disposed of paper without giving it a second thought
during my three and half years of being at FSU. After all I don’t
know anyone that can honestly say that they’ve never littered.
But could you imagine what it would be like if every student
dropped one piece of litter on the ground during the day?
When I began this job on November 1, 1973, it was tough!
After the football games I was faced with coke cups, hot dog
wrapper and all kinds of litter. Around the dorms and the dining
hall there were small bits of paper everywhere.
Since November 1, business has really slowed down because
most of the littering has stopped. I believe that the students have
begun to take pride in their campus and they realize that the
campus is a reflection of themselves.
Broncos thanks for helping me keep your campus clean.
James Faison, III

Bookstore Hours: 9 a.m. to 12 noon. - 1 p.m. to2:30 p.m. The bookstore has a very large amount
of sorority and fraternity jackets, sweat shirts, T-shirts and CIAA champion T-Shirts on hand. Also
we have a large number of FSU jackets with heavy linings and band jackets.
Many of the students are asking why their groups don’t have some items on hand. The reason is
that the bookstore is overstocked and students aren’t buying what we have on hand. Any of the alMve
items must be paid for within 90 days. So you can see what a predicament this puts us with no
funds to spend. Mr, James E. Henderson, the manager of the bookstore, would like for each frater
nity and sorority to brief their members on the situation and make plans to buy the items that are in
the bookstore for them.
Post Office Hours: Doors Open 9 a.m, to 8 p.m. Mon. - Sat. Post Office 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mon. -
