sisters Linda and Brenda
Gavin. They are natives of
Lumberton, N.C., and are
freshman Business Education
majors. The girls said they
made “identical” grades for
the first semester.

Seven Faculty Members Join FSU
Seven new faculty
members have joined the
Fayetteville State University
faculty beginning the second
semester 1974-75.
The announcement was
made by Chancellor Charles
“A” Lyons, Jr.
The faculty members are
Roberta M. Waddle, biological
and physical sciences
department; Corrine
Koujoumis, department of
health, physical education and
recreation; Dr. James M.
Boyte, department of
mathematics; Carl Milton,
counselor; Valerie Ed
mondson, history and political
science department; Brenda
Hoke,_ sociology department;
and Sgt. Julius C. Brackeen,
Jr., Air Force ROTC
Program.
Roberta M. Waddle is a
native of Missouri and
received the B. S. degree from
Northeast Missouri State
University and the Master’s
degree from Iowa State
University.
Corrine Koujoumis is a
recipient of the un
dergraduate degree in music
from Florida State University
and the Master’s degree in
Music from the same in
stitution. She is a native of
Miami, Florida.
Dr. James Boyte, a native
of Moore County, North
Carolina, received his un
dergraduate training at
Appalachian State University,
Boone, North Carolina. He
received the M. A. degree at
Appalachian State and the Ph.
D. degree from Virginia
Polythethnic Institute.
Milton is a native of
Newark, New Jersey and
received the B. A. degree
from the Kentucky State
College and earned the
Master’s degree at North
Carolina Central University,
Durham, North Carolina.
Brenda Hoke, a native of
Gastonia, North Carolina
received the B. A. degree at
North Carolina Central
University and the M. A.
degree at Atlanta University,
Atlanta, Georgia.
Sgt. Julius C. Brackeen,
Jr., a native of Muskogee,
Oklahoma, is a veteran of 16
years in the Air Force and has
served overseas tours of duty
in Japan and Thailand. His U.
S. tours include Lackland
AFB, Texas; Forbes AFB,
Kansas; Edwards AFB,
California; Seymour Johnson
AFB, North Carolina; Dover
AFB, Delaware; and the Air
Force Office of Scientific
Research, Arlington,
Virginia.
