Dr. Charles “A” Lyons, Jr., Chancellor of the University, made the an nouncement recently. Emery is a recipient of the A.B. degree from Adelphi University and the M.S. degree in higher education from the University of Ken tucky at Lexington. He also attended the Institute for American Universities, Aix- en-provence, France and received a degree in French. While at the University of Kentucky, Emery served as a research fellow and assistant which involved development of the various types of ad ministrative programs, program planning and budgeting, and management by objectives. In the position at FSU, Emery will have broad func tions such as monitoring the responsibilities of all facets of the University to determine if all administrative areas are maintaining objectives consonant with the overall objective of the University.
