November 23,1982 The Voice Page 9 Something Special I come in all sizes, colors, and textures. 1 get harassed alot, it's no fun!!! 1 get cut, teased, and sometimes pulled. There are some good days though, besides being rolled and twisted, every other week I take a bath and maybe I relax within two to six hours or so. Have you figured me out yet? Well, let me go on just a few more lines, I am the most wanted in the whole world!!! Oh yeh, 1 forgot, 1 am a celebrity from the old Bible days! Ask Sampson maybe he can tell you!!! “THE GOLDEN GIRL" Fat Fashions So you've always wanted to be a model, but could only dream about it as you tip the scales at 185 pounds? Well, cheer up. Now you have a chance to indulge that lifelong dream. There is now a market for large fashion models. Major catalog retailers are offering “larger size lines” and paying much more attention to that often-ignored market segment. Magazines also are beginning to feature fashion spreads for the larger women. But it takes more than just pounds to be a larger size fashion model. Your pounds must be correctly distributed, or you won't even be considered by the modeling agencies. And you have to keep the weight on. If you start slimming down, you'll be cutting your own throat. Of Giving I was asked of my giving. My giving, be it a smile which can be seen or heard, a something which may be shown or held. My giving from me to you or from me simply to say 1 gave. 1 should be asked of my taking, for don't I take a smile in return or words to acknowledge my giving? Is there not pleasure in my gestures or gleams in my eyes? When someone asks of your giving, maybe our quickness in answer spoils the delight. But should we not realize the taking within our giving and agree that our giving is not giving at all. At least, one should say, the giving is apart of the taking and the taking a portion of giving. 1 say ask of taking and the giving shall be discovered. Shaw and Isaiah Reed The Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., sponsored a concert which featured Howard Johnson, November 12, at the Seabrook Auditorium. Considering the small turnout, the audience was responsive and enthusiastic. Mr. Johnson made note to the number of empty seats, but still he felt the need to jam. On “Keeping Love New,” which has good meaning, was gotten across. The versatility of this artist was surprising after he struck an excellent remedition of “A House is not a Home” and “The Man is full of Love.” William Britton, Vice-President of Phi Beta Sigma, said he thinks it's wonderful that Howard Johnson came to FSU. The price was very reasonable. Mr. Britton also said, “things like this should come to this community more often.” Mr. Johnson has been on college tours constantly since July. Even (Continued from page 7) Herpes Women seem to suffer more from herpes. However, some women are barely aware of their herpes. They sometimes have internal lesions that may be hard to see. They can be carrying the virus in the genital secretions or may be shedding the disease from the cervix without showing any symptoms. Women who suffer from genital herpes are five to eight times more likely to develop cervical cancer than those who do not according to the American Social Health Association.
