Tournament. (Photo by Rosemary Byrd)
As you might expect, Gary finds it
difficult at times, being a family man, a
student and self-empolyed, to
participate in student activities.
However, Gary has found time to
become a member of the Broncos' golf
team, a sport he enjoys.
Gary graduated from Reid Ross High
School and entered the work force
befoe attending Fayetteville Technical
Institute (FTI). After graduating from
FTl with an Associate Degree in Data
Processing, he entered Fayetteville
State University. Since his enrollment
at Fayetteville State University, Gary
has been on teh Dean's List and has
maintained a Grade Point Average of
3.3. He was recently recommended by
the Registrar's Office to the Nation
Dean's List.
As a member of the Broncos' golf
team, Gary has won the Fayetteville/
Cumberland County Golf Tournament
and the Gates Four Golf Tournament.
In, addition, he has won numerous
other awards. The golf team has been
unbeaten in Central Intercollegiate
Athletic Association (ClAA) play for
eight seasons. Gary feels the team will
continue its winning traditions and
acknowledges that players Lonnie
McNeil, Tony Terry and Greg Outlaw
will make a great contribution to the
team's goals.
Gary's future is uncertain at the
present. He has been approached by
several professional agencies to
represent them this summer in te Space
Coast Golf Tournament. Gary stated
that he would wait and see how his golf
performance is this spring before
accepting any invitation.

Lady Broncos Lose Twice
'By Marion Crowe
The Lady Broncos, the Central
Intercollegiate Athletic Association
defending champion, opened their '83
softball season March 23 on a sour note
and fell to Johnson C. Smith Golden
Bulls 8-4. The Broncoettes, in a game
delayed for approximately two hours,
were never able to mount any type of a
treat against the strong hitting Golden
Bulls.
In the first game, Broncoette Winfred

The Lady Broncos eliminated the
mistakes made in the first, but still lost
the second contest 9-8 due to their
inability to put together any hitting.
