May 7, 1985 The Voice P«ge 7 Editorials Continued Only One Student's Opinion As I approach the end of my first semester here at Fayetteville State University, I find myself confronted with students who feel like the University does not have adequate learning material and the University does not prepare them properly for the world of work. In essence the University isn't holding its end of the barg. As I take a good look at the at the student who made the comment, I find the student has poor study habits and hardly ever brings in his/her homework. Knowledge is not something that is inherited. You have to have excellent study habits and use the materials that the university can offer. First of all, I would like to say that the university has an excellent leader. A leader with high standards for academics. If the students would just follow the leader or try to match his standards of academics, they will find that Fayetteville State University is one of the finest universities in the state. Fayetteville State University has one of the finest tutorial services anywhere mainly because it has students like you and me helping each other to become better individuals. The faculty at Fayetteville State University is dedicated not only too teaching the student during the respected time frame but, even one on one with students in their offices that to me is a sign of a commitment to see that each and every student is properly prepared. You as a student must take advantage of some of the finest resources here at the university and apply yourself totally toward your studies and to becoming a better person. As I conclude to say Fayetteville State University is ready but, are you ready for Fayetteville State University. This is only one student's opinion. Beloved Africa We Care We the children of today Must find the route, the perfect way To do away with starvation To banish it in all nations. So America has devised a scheme To reachout to those who are in need Together we'll turn stone into bread So hungry ones can be fed. Many people are in poverty Who need our help, our liberty The more we give, the more we're blessed Let's sacrifice and give our best. If we believe then we can't fall Lets give our hearts, our all and all By making such a sacrifice We are saving other lives. People are people no matter who We each need love and compassion too Some of us have been blessed with wealth Lets use these funds to be of help. Why don't we all join hands and give And make this world a better place to live Lets reach out without holding back And give from our hearts to those who lack. Africa needs all of our support Lets give them that and even more Divided we fall, together we stand We can make Africa a more fruitful land. If we believe then we can't fall Lets give our hearts, our all and all By making such a sacrifice We are saving other lives. Lets exile people dying in the streets. Because they haven't any food to eat We have the answer, we have the key Our contributions can make this cease. What a blessed nation of people we are We set our goals and reach for the star We'll stop at nothing and achieve what we plan In order to give Africa all that we can. God is so pleased with this inner drive He is sure to bless our every strive Lets keep on moving, we've come so far Its because we keep pressing, we are who we are. If we believe then we can't fall Lets give our hearts, our all and all By making such a sacrifice We are saving other lives. Africa we love you and we do care We want you to know that we are here You are our brothers and sisters alike Whatever your problem, also our plight. When this great work comes to an end Your country will be blessed with many millions For these are the dollars we plan to raise To make Africa a more prosperous place. God is good and God is great Your destitute he'll take away Your agriculture he well surely bless Increase your joy and happiness. We will help the U.S. tao Ten percent will go to whom it's due May God bless Africa now and always And may their future hold brighter days. If we believe then we can't fall Lets give our hearts our all and all By making such a sacrifice We are saving other lives. "Heidi, you've been brushing your teeth for 15 minutes.
