Page 2 The Broncos’ Voice, November 1993. Editorial Comments Making The Broncos' Voice your \oict by Matthew Royal We at The Broncos’ Voice would like to thank the Fayetteville State University community for their pa tience and support as this pubUca- tion contines to evolve. As we pro ceed toward our goals, we would like to call on the university commu nity to aid us further in this en deavor. Announcements For many years, the university community has been without an ef fective central point of distribution for information about pertinent mat ters. Obviously, the lack of such a medium has resulted in many confu sions and misunderstandings among students, organizations, faculty, and the university administration. If we are to fill that void, we must have the cooperation of all campus or ganizations. If you are an officer in an organization which is active in the university community, we ask you to submit announcements ofupcom- ing activities your organization will be involved in, as well as important news fi'om earUer activites. Like wise, if you are organizing an activ ity which you would Uke to see covered in The Broncos’ Voice, please let us know well in advance so we can plan to have a representative at that activity. In order to produce the diverse publication we desire, we need to hear from you. Submissions Many of the individuals who make up the Fayetteville State Uni versity community have outstand ing skills at writing and critical think ing but have not been given an outlet through which their skills may be expressed. We would like to call on these mdividuals to submit their best work to The Broncos’Voice: news articles, reasoned commentaries, and creative writing. While the staff of The Broncos’ Voice will address a broad range of subjects and report on a variety of events, we respect fully soUcit articles from the wider university community. Fayetteville State University’s student popula tion has exceeded four thousand; we obviously cannot address every sub ject ofinterestto the university com munity, and there is no doubt that each individual brings a unique per spective to every subject. In orderto produce the diverse pubUcation we desire, we need to hear from you. We welcome submissions from students, alumni, and employees of Fayetteville State University and es pecially encourage submissions from faculty and non-traditional students. Please type (double-spaced) yoxir submissions, and mail them to the address on this page or deliver them by hand to our office on the main level of the Student Center. If you can supply your submission on disk, we can accept ASCII or WordPerfect format on IBM 720k disks. Submissions in electronic form may also ewe may contact you if we have any questions concerning your submission. We wiUnot, as a matter ofpolicy, publish anonymously writ ten articles or those submitted under a pseudonym. While we reserve the right to edit or reject any article, we trust that all submissions wiU be of the quality that we are devoted to main taining. With your help, we antici pate a stimulating and informative academic year.
