Plot From Page 1 Ebony Fashion Fair Fashions from the world’s leading designers will be on display Feb 13th, when the Ebony Fashion Fair appears at Methiodst College. Cost is $20 for adults and $15 for students. It’s almost like a pre-initiation activity.” Kappa Alpha Psi has offered a reward to anyone with information about the damaged plot. The amount of the reward will be based on the depth of information provided. “Depending on the quality of the information brought forth, we will evaluate it and base the reward on that,” Raynor said. Raynor said he wasn’t aware of any police investigation into the alleged vandalism, but asks anyone with information go to the University Police Department. The monument was purchased by Fayetteville State University’s Pan Hellenic Council. Each Greek-lettered organization on campus received one of the marble monuments from the council. The plots are located near the maze of sidewalks between Lilly Gymnasium, Hood Hall and the Telecommunications Center. In other Greek news: *The Broncos’ Voice has learned that FSU’s Iota Phi Theta Chapter has been suspended before the Spring semester intake period even started. According to information provided The Broncos’ Voice, Iota Phi Theta was suspended for one year by the university for conducting an illegal intake. Their marble monument and bench, which marked their plot area, has been removed. Intakes among Greek-lettered organizations at FSU must be conducted during the spring semester only. It was discovered the Fayetteville-Fort Bragg Chapter of Iota Phi Theta initiated two FSU students last fall. The initiations, according to the source, were done without the university’s knowledge or consent, a violation of university guidelines. *A source, who wishes to remain anonymous, has told The Broncos’ Voice that the national office of Sigma Gamma Rho is in the process of suspending three members of the Delta Iota Chapter at FSU. It’s said the three members are being suspended for their involvement in an incident in which they were charged with allegedly assaulting a sorority sister. The victim of the assault filed charges against the three assailants and in an article which appeared in an issue of The Broncos’ Voice, denounced her membership in the sorority. The three women charged with assault were punished by Olivia Chavis, vice chancellor for student affairs. Their punishments were not revealed. According to the source, the lengths of the punishment issued by Sigma Gamma Rho’s national ofTice range from one to three years. *FSU Police Chief Jerry Monroe has resigned as advisor to the Delta Gamma Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. Monroe’s resignation comes during a important period for the fraternity. Like other Greek-lettered organizations, the Omegas are preparing for Spring Intake. The Delta Gamma Chapter conducted its interest meeting Jan. 17. It’s not known if Monroe’s resignation will affect Omega Psi Phi’s quest for conducting a Spring Intake, but in order to function as an active organization on campus, fraternities and sororities must have an advisor who is a university employee. * A belated Happy Founder’s Day to Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. The fraternity recently held its annual Founder’s Day Banquet in the Helen T. Chick Building. Also, kudos to the Pi Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma for passing out white and blue pompons prior to the Shaw University basketball game. *A pat on the back to the Delta Xi Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority and the Epsilon Zeta Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha, The Deltas have conducted several student-focused programs, events aimed at AIDS Awareness, and they recently completed a successful book drive. The Alphas participated in a mentoring program at Spring Lake Middle School, Four of the chapter brothers who attended were: Jason Barber, Brad Gaddy, Willie Munn and Raymond Sharp, The EZ Chapter spoke to the school’s Men ofVision students. The Alphas spoke about the importance of a college education and having priorities in order while in college. They also fielded questions from the male students about college life. *The Delta Alpha Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha has been busy keeping the campus clean. The sorority has been initiating periodic pickups of trash on the campus. Also, the AKAs recently celebrated Founder’s Day as well with a luncheon in the universitx' cafeteria. Delta Alpha also has a new campus advisor. Now handling the duties is Marshonda Rhodie, an FSU alumna and director of the math lab in the Helen T. Chick Building. Rhodie replaces Monique Kendall as the sorority’s advisor. *Zeta Phi Beta Sorority made the holidays a lot cheerful for area families. The Omega Beta Chapter purchased gifts of toys and clothing for the less-fortunate. They, too, celebrated Founder’s Day recently. . _ . I . i:
