Location: Capel Arena on the campus of Fayetteville State University Opening Plenary Keynote Speaiker: Dr. Christopher Edwards is the Medical Director of the Biofeedback Laboratory and Pediatric Neuropsychology Service at Duke University Medical Center in Durham. He is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Duke University and an Associate Professor of Medicine, Division of Hematology, at Duke University Medical Center. A licensed clinical psychologist, he completed a two year fellowship in Endocrinology and Psychology at Duke University Medical Center. His research interests are in two primary areas: Pain and Psychoneuroendocrinology. Currently, he is studying factors that influence pain associated with osteoarthritis and Sickle Cell Disease as well as the impact of drugs for pain and Alzheimer’s Disease. Open to Undergraduate and Graduate students in all majors and disciplines Poster & Paper Presentations Luncheon Keynote Speaker: Dr. Ingrid Hall is a Lead Epidemiologist at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta, Georgia. She holds a BS degree in biology firom Duke University, a PhD in ge netics and molecular biology, and an MPH in epidemiology from University of North Caro lina at Ch^>el Hill. She has worked as a cancer epidemiologist in the Division of Cancer Prevention and Control for the past 14 years. She has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals on breast cancer-risk factor associations in African American women and tfie genet ics and family history of breast, ovarian, and prostate cancers. Her current research focus is in the area of health disparities in cancer incidence and survival.
