For a great “Saturday night at the movies” visit the Paramount or the Wayne theatres on Center Street or the East Gate Qnema (the rocking chair theatre) in the East Gate Shopping Center. There are several places to meet the gang after the movie. Hie Pizza Inn across from the college is a great place to go. Other pizza places are Sally’s, Village Inn Pizza Parlor, and the Pizza Shop. Or you could hurry on down to Hardees where the burgers are diarcoaled broiled! There are two in Goldsboro. Also MacDonald’s welcomes WCC students. Boulevard Lanes urges all WCC students to go out and demonstrate their skill in bowling. If tennis is your game, visit Herman Park. Someone from WCC is always there! There are many other {daces to go in Goldstoro. Why don’t you explore around and find them out? However, WCC offers you many activities! Dental Assistants Locate Jobs All eleven girls of the Dental Assistant class who graduated in August have obtained jobs. Five of these will be working in Goldsboro and others in near by towns. While it is not necessary, many of these will take the state board examination to become certified dental assistants in the fall. The only problem that has arisen is the endless red tape we have to go through every few months to get permission from the im migration authorities and the American Embassy for Liseth to remain in this country. Also it is very hard for Liseth’s family to send money out of her country, so we usually have to contact her father via a ham radio set. Liseth comes from Lima, Peru, and her native language is Spanish, so she is s^ having trouble decoding some of our slang expressions. Her favorite foods are spa^etti, pizza, chop suey, and ham burger. LISETH SCOFFI By GLORIA STRICKLAND Liseth Adele Myma Farfan Scoffi moved into our home on June 4, 1971, on a trial basis and now we can’t imagine life without her. After three months we have decided she should be used as a “mold” to manufacture the ideal teenager. She is helpful around the house, con scientious about her personal appearance, and is very ap preciative about everting that is done for her. In con trast to the American teenager, Liseth is very well versed in the classic arts and music, but knows nothing about cooking and sewing. She came to Goldsboro last December 30 as a foreign exchange student and at tended Aycock High School for five months. She loved Golds boro so much that she decided to stay so she could attend Wayne Community College for two years in Uie College Transfer program. She has studied very hard so far and earned an “A” on her first Preparatory English course. What is it like to have a foreign student living in our home? We don’t consider Liseth as such. We made it clear from the beginning what her responsibilities would be so our normal routine has continued as always. We love her like a daughter and she ^^^eCHTylk SET $ 16 French schoolgirl smock-plus-shift A French painting come to life . . . tiny flower-print shifts with corduroy smocks to match.
