These 4 students will be getting hands on training in the construct i on, reconstruction, and pesticide application for gol-f courses and athiet i c f i elds. The firm Hendrix and Dai 1 Inc. will provide food, lodging, salaries, and expenses. The group wi t1 spend 1 month of their summer internship in Miami. Also, the system has to be "balanced.” Balancing involves adjusting the variable air volume <VAV) vents which would, of course, adjust the amount of air flow in each room. Another problem is that the contractor laying the carpet ran out, and there was a delay while more was ordered. Then there was still another delay because a roll of the new carpet was damaged by the freight company hauling i t. Anderson said he was hopeful that final inspections would be complete in time to start summer quarter classes in the new bu i 1 di ngs. But he said if that is not possible, then most classes would start in other class rooms on the North Campus with a few still being held on the old South Campus. He added that classes could then be moved on a weekend shortly after the start of summer quarter.
