After Tom Luten, Vice President for Student Development, welcomed the 90 invited guests, outgoing SGA President Shawn Smith gave the oath of office to new SGA officers, Hiram Grady, president, and Max (Buck) Rich, Vice-President. Lisa Stell, secretary, was unable to attend. Coach Britton presented athletic awards to basketball players: Michael K. Coles, Most Valuable Player and Richard Christian IV, recog nized as Who's Who. Coach David Deakle recognized Golf Team members Allen Smith, Most Valuable Player; Randy Sutton, the Bison Award; Sam Jones, the Scholarship Award. The Bisons finished third in the confer ence, and Smith was a conference medalist. Who's Who members received plaques presented by Jimmy Ford, dean of Human Resources Development and Beth Jones. Recipients for 1995 included Barbara J. Best, Sharon Best, Caroyn S. Borel, Richard Christian IV, Veta Michelle Ham, Phyllis L. Jones, and Sara M. Judy. Also Cynthia L. Kitchen, Tammy Morgan, Jackie Patton, Cathy D. Snovel, Cathy G. Wade, and Vivian White. The Instructor and Staff Awards were also presented: Ludia Burden, Technical Instructor; Betty Froehlich, Technical Instructor; Elizabeth Meador, College Transfer; and Susan Parris, Staff Person- of-the-Year.
