New employees continued from page 2 He entered the Air Force in 1982. He received a Master's in Business Administration in international finance from Oklahoma City University in 1989. In 1994, he received a master's in art from the University of Oklahoma. He is currently working on a dissertation at the University of Oklahoma. He oversees 16 full time faculty, 10 part- time, and 300 to 400 students in one of the largest divisions at WCC. Unmarried, he has 2 children, David and Caroline. Sue Beaman is a 1974 graduate of WCC with an associate degree in nursing. She is an instructor in WCC's nursing program after working at Barton College for 19 years. Married, she has 2 children. Heather and Kristen. She said she enjoys teaching because it is rewarding. David Gilchrist PHOTO: SHOWNELL EZZELL Sue Beaman PHOTO: SHOWNELL EZZELL DECEMBER 11, 1997 - WCC CAMPUS VOICE 3 Michelle Richards, an instructor in the Livestock and Poultry program, received a Bachelor of Animal Science Degree from Virginia Tech and joined WCC in August of 1997. Richards, previously employed at Goldsboro Milling Company for years, said that hard work and determination are essential in accom plishing goals. Richards is engaged to marry David Allen Turnage, an employee of CP&L, on February 14, 1998 (Valentine's Day). Richards loves raising horses and going on trail rides. r Sue Wade PHOTO: JOY REED Michelle Richards PHOTO: JOY REED Sue Wade began part-time, temporary, employment as a member of WCC's housekeeping staff in April of 1997. She was hired full time September, 1997. Wade, responsible for the maintenance of the MSS Building, has been married for 30 years to Roger Wade. They have 2 daughters, Pam and Sherri. Wade was previously employed with J.C. Penney. She enjoys crafts and meeting new people. She says that she loves her job and is proud to be a member of the WCC family. More new employees page 5 Work on new road to begin spring semester By ALVIN ODOM A new road has been approved to connect the WCC campus to New Hope Road, according to Linwood Anderson, Vice President of Educational Support Services. Anderson said the road will connect from New Hope Road across from the Cassedale subdivision entrance, run by the tennis courts, and continue to the parking area behind the A&H building. Parking spaces will also be added to the new road near the tennis courts. Anderson said there will also be a dumpster access installed behind the A&H Building.
