Monday night, January 8, at the Wilkes Central gym. The students who attended got into the act also by enthusias tically responding to the cheer leaders. After a slow start, the Cougars came alive in the second half and shot a blazing 70 percent from the floor. Winston-Salem B.C. carried into the second half a five point lead, but this did not stand long. Ronnie Triplett and Tommy Guy lead the Cougar attack, scoring 19 points each. Carl Hudson also had double figures with 17 points to his credit. Billings finished with six points and Steve Cardwell hit for three points. The game ended with W.C.C. the winner by the score of 73-65, The Courgars play their next game January 13, at Sandhills Community College. The next home game will be January 15, with the tough Cagers of Isother mal Community College.
