Tommy Guy Leads Cougars
Tommy Guy led the Cougar
defensive attack this season
scoring a total of 431 points,
an average of 18 points per game.
Tommy was consistently the high
scorer throughout the season and
had a deadly aim from the free

Charles Lawson converted the
most free throws to points
making 82 of 102 attempts for an
80.4%. Charles was second in
total scoring getting 369 points
in the regular season hitting
16.1 per game.

The Cougars of Wilkes Com
munity College built up a 35
point halftime lead and then
coasted to a 90 to 60 victory in
the regular season finale at the
Wilkes YMCA. Tommy Guy lead
the Cougars to the easy victory
with 23 points. George Howard
was second with 17 points. High
scorers for the Cavaliers were
Troy and Perry with 16 and 14
points respectively.
It was the last regular game of
the season for the Cougars and
proved to be one of their easiest
victories. The Wilkes team end
ed the season with a 13-9 mark
winning their last 5 out of 6,
