PAGE 4, THE COUGAR CRY, MARCH 2, 1970 Wilkes Falls To Isothermal A bad second half dropped the Cougars behind Isothermal 62-46 in a conference game pla yed at the WUkes YMCA, In playing good team ball and sporting a good shooting per centage, the Cougars went to the dressing room at the half with the game tied at 27 all. The second half left the Cou gars holding an empty bag. Isothermal came out with a hot hand and the Cougars came out cold as Wilkes just couldn't find the range and soon fell behind by 12 points. After a few minutes of play, the tempo changed and the Cou gars cut the lead to three, but the return of the cold hand left them short by 16 points at the sound of the final gun. Frank Sanders left the scor ing with 16 points for the Cou gars, followed by Kent Law son with 12. It was the worst night of the season for Charles Lawson and Tony Hayes as they fell way be low their season’s average in scoring with only 11 and 7 points respectively.
