Our first president was Frank
lin Pruitt of Elkin.
1966-67
To fill Pruitt’s unexpired term
came Roger Wright. Roger, his
wife Becky, and their daughter
Katie make their home on 304
Woodland Drive, Wilkesboro.
Roger works at Hubbard’s in
Wilkesboro and is co-owner of
the Underground Railroad in
Wilkesboro.
1969 -1970
Charles Johnson is presently a
senior at ASU, where he is in
the Bachelor of Technology
Program, Charles was elected
to Alpha Chi Honor Society
and is now doing an internship
at WCC. Married to the fwmer
Barbara Lewis, he now lives
near West Jefferson.
1970 -1971
Charles Mitchell was our presi
dent from 1970 to 1971. After
finishing at WCC, Charles
trans f e r r e d to Appalachian
where he is majoring in his
tory. Charles was active in or
ganizing an intramural football
team at ASU.

1967 -1968
Our next president was Jim
Lyalls, who lives on Route 4,
North Wilkesboro. After finish
ing at WCC, Jim transferred to
East Tennessee State Univer
sity where he was on the cheer-
leading squad for two years.
Jim now works at Lowe’s Com^
panies in North Wilkesboro.
SGA Grants
Two Charters

The Student Government
Association has recently grant
ed charters to two new organi
zations. The Cougarettes, who
are our majorettes, and the
new Black Organization of Stu
dent Services. (BOSS) were
granted charters January 11,
1972. We sincerely hope these
organizations will help to im
prove relationships among stu
dents and increase interest in
our school.
The SGA would like to thank
the students who came to our
Christmas Dance for helping to
make it a success. We hope
that future dances will be as
successful as this one. Speaking
of dances, on January 22, Phi
Beta Lambda is planning to co-
si)onsor a dance with the SGA.
This is the Homecoming Dance
at which Hierarchy in Music
(HIM) wiU play. We urge you
to come and enjoy yourselves.
On January 26, the SGA and
the Circle K Club will sponsor
a bloodmobile visit to our
school. We hope you will all
let your blood run so this proj
ect will be a success.
The SGA is also going to the
NCCCCSGA in Raleigh at the
end of this month. This con-

teat. Lewis and his wife Lisa
are now living in Munich^ Ger
many, where he is serving in
the Army. Lewis is in Military
Intelligence. After finishing at
WCC, Lewis tran^erred to East
Tennessee State University.
1971 -1972
And serving us now is Ken
Greene, Ken lives on Route 5,
North Wilkesboro. After finish
ing his education at WCC, Ken
plans to enter either The Uni
versity of North Carolina or
Appalachian.
