REF. WHERE ARE YOU?
The Wilkesboro YMCA was
the scene of a basketball game
on Thursday, February 3, when
the Cougars met and matched
wits with CVTI, The outcome
was an impressive 71 to 56 vic
tory for the Cougars. During
the first half, it was a neck-
and-neck battle for control of
the ball, with neither team
gaining complete control. How
ever, the third quarter saw the
Cougars establish a ten-point
lead and keep it throughout
the remainder of the game.
Junior Jackson played an out
standing game, performing an
excellent job of shooting and
rebounding. Roger Billings and
Dale Myers both did a fine job
of guarding and rebounding.
At the time of this article,
the record for the Cougars is
ten won and nine lost. The
COUGAR CRY would like to re
mind sports fans that the
NCAA Tournament will be
played in Kinston, so all who
can, come on and support your
team.
