Page 2, The Cougar Cry, December 19, 1975 LETTERS TO THE EDITOR FROM VICKIE JAMES LARKIN PEARSON ART & TALENT SHOW HELD Dear Editor: It was stated in the last issue that one of the reasons that the ping-pong table was removed from the south side of the Student Com mons was because more room was needed for tables, and that the game & spectators of the game were taking a toll on the walls sur rounding the ping-pong table. Well, I feel that the students attending WCC have paid for the facilities they use and the walls surrounding the ping-pong table on the south side of the Commons are part of the facilities that the students have paid for. —Dan Gambill Dear Danny, If you feel the education you get here is not worth the tax dollars you and thousands of people in this state pay for, then perhaps you should transfer to a private school where the individual does pay for the education and for the buildings. -The Editors DID YOU KNOW? Macaroni sprayed gold and threaded with yarn makes a very nice garland for your Christmas tree. For a quick iceball, for a X-mas party, fill a round balloon with water ‘ and freeze. Remove the balloon after the water is frozen. For a quick bird feeder, simply string bread cubes on a cord. Hang the feeder high so cats and dogs won’t frighten the birds. A good emergency substitute for a scraper to remove frost, ice, sleet, etc. is a plastic credit card. It will do the job in no time. Since I will be venturing on to bigger and better things after this quarter, I want to say a great big thanks to all of my friends and teachers, who have made my life here at W.C.C. something really special, I will miss everyone and every thing, especially 111 miss working on the newspaper, plays and cast part ies, being involved in school activit ies, and ni certainly miss not seeing the many friends I’ve made. Thanks again to all my friends and teachers. I’ll miss you! —Vickie Reins ■ ■? ■? igp @1 E WEIB B iiJ tiJ ©e 0 (S G)®0 {£ G CARL LOWE WINNER!
