President
From The Office
Of The President
While the world is now
grappling with a recession, it
should be noted that by the time
you complete your program of
study, the world economy will be
rebounding. Some observers say
that this recovery will be awesome
in its impact. In that light, will
you be ready to respond by being
an important part of the
recovery? Emphasis on high
technology will be a major part of
the future. Consequently, a basic
understanding in the areas of
mathematics and science are
important. An acquaintance with
electronics and its auxiliary
components will be valuable. The
service vocations will be called on
even more to answer human
needs. The world of business will
require expertise in marketing,
word processing and communica
tion skills. The transportation
industry will become much more
efficient through innovative ener
gy use and inventive technology.
All of this places a high
importance on your preparation.
The harder you work, the greater
the contribution you will make to
a world on the verge of its greatest
era. We are proud to share the
experience with you. Welcome to
Wilkes Community College!
