Shaw Message From Vice President of Administrative Services Have you ever tried stretching a rubber band to the maximum? Sometimes we are surprised at the possibilities of distance, strength, etc. It is the same with dollars. There are many objectives of the Administrative Services Area such as taking care of the accounting, the maintenance, the housekeep ing, the grounds, bookstore and vehicles. Another one which relates to all of the above is stretching the dollar; actually we are happier if we can make two out of each one! Some call it management, fmancial maneuverability, stewardship and somejust being“stingy.” Whatever you call it, it means making the most of each budget dollar. 1 believe we do that at Wilkes Community College.
