Hey You, It’s 1999 & It’s Time to Have Some Fun! Take a look at what you can do right here on campus. By: Ailsa Price *If you’re considering politics and campus activities, try the Student Government Asso ciation. Remember that you don't have to hold an office in order to be involved in student government meetings. So, if you're interested, get in touch with Scott Johnson at ext. 6142. *If you’re enrolled in Information Systems, and interested in learning more about data process ing, try the Association of Information Tech nology Professionals. For more information contact Arlene Handy at ext. 6160. *The Baptist Student Union offers a lot to all campus students who are interested in having lots of fun in a spiritual environment. It offers weekly meetings, Bible study, community out reach, and much more. If you're interested con tact Alan Whittington at ext. 6144. *Try out the Autobody Club or Diesel Tech. Club if you're into anything that has an engine, steering wheel, tires, and is road legal. Contact Gerald Wood at ext. 6192 for more informa tion about the Autobody Club. Or, call Ricky Smith at ext. 6282 for more information about the Diesel Tech. Club. *The Camera Club is the place for you, if you're one of those people that family members have to hide from during get-togethers, in fear of becoming the latest victim of your ruthless camera. Beginners as well as advanced ama teurs are welcome to join the Camera Club meetings to learn more about photography. Call Larry Caudill at ext. 6138 for more infor mation. *lf you are a dental assisting student the Dental Assisting Club is the place for you. As a mem ber of this club you will be able to reach out and tell your fellow students and community about proper dental care; as well as attending local and state meetings. You might even re ceive some help in getting a job in the dental field after graduation. Call Deana Billings at ext. 6253 to learn more about the Dental As sisting Club. *If you're enrolled in the building construction curriculum then the Future Contractors of America Club is the place for you. This is a club focused on leadership qualities and valu able contacts that you will need later in your career. For more information call Dwight Hartzog at ext. 6202. * Are you a motivated person enrolled in the Human Services Technology program, and in- 'terested in community and self development? Learn more about your field in the Human Services Club. Contact Donna McNeil at ext. 6190 to learn more about the club. *The Medical Assisting Club is the club for you, if you are enrolled in the Medical Assist ing program, and are interested in learning more about the field and professional develop ment. Call Joyce Minton at ext. 6251 for more information. *If you are interested in journalism or photog raphy then the "Cougar Cry" Newspaper Staff has a place for you. We have plenty of room for anyone who wants to help compile the cam pus paper. There are still editor positions avail able for the Spring Semester. Even if you don't want to take on any major responsibilities we still could use your help. The Artist's Ledge section of the paper features the work of cam pus students. So, if you've dreamed of one day having your poetry or art published, start here.
