One Lonely Star
One lonely star,
A solitary essence
Starlight, Starbright
Grant my special wish,
That I wish tonight
From where I am
Here upon the world...
Where I feel alone-
And desolate.
Can I feel joy?
For just a brief second,
Or for a lifetime?
I look outside my window...
At an old gloomy birch tree
The tree...
That means something to me
Special times no longer to be,
This tree is all that I can see.
Oh! Lonely star, I hope you are for me
Can there be; can there be...
Anything for me?
Please let there be!
Something up there for me,
Upon the lonely star.
Way up there...
All alone.
