Cougar Cry Page 101 Cot40ar Cry Mtisic Review Sevendust Home Now, I understand why the All Music Guide hypes this album up so much. Home hits hard right from the start and sel dom lets up. While Limp Bizkit and Korn get most of the attention in the Alternative Metal world, Sevendust delivers the goods arguably as good or better than any of their competitors. A pounding bass, an excellent drummer, and two outstanding guitarists; Sevendust has it all. But, perhaps what really sets Home apart from the competition is the vocal ability of frontman Lajon Witherspoon and the band's backing vocals. While the album has several strong tracks, I believe the obvious standout would have to be “Denial.” After giving this one a spin in my CD player , I decided to give it a B. A couple of weak tracks coupled with the fact that the lan guage is a little too vulgar here and there killed the chance of a perfect score. However, if you can put that aside and have even a casual interest in Alternative Metal, this album would make a nice addition to your collection. 1 also recommend that you pick up the band’s self-titled debut, which I intend to do very soon!!!
