Basically, I have been running around here freezing my butt off and trying to get settled in. The day of registration I came up and attempted to register, which up here your advisor does not do for you like at Wilkes Community. Here you do it all yourself, either by telephone or via the Internet, which was a new experience to say the least!! Never the less, I quickly found out that all the classes that I needed were already “full” so I had to go to the head of the department and get an “administration override." Well, I thought I had everything taken care of until I realized Sunday night that I had a conflict that I nor the computer caught because of the override. Needless to say I had to figure out what would fit and what wouldn’t and drop two of the classes and then re-add the other two different ones. I got all this taken care of the first week!! Then came the second week, which happened to be when all the bad weather started to hit. Since then I have been a walking human ici cle!! But despite the cold weather, wind, sleet, snow, and other crazy stuff Mother Nature wants to throw at us, I am having a blast up here. But some things I do miss about Wilkes is being able to walk to class and know almost everyone I pass in the hall by name, or at least speak to those I did not!! Also, I will never complain about walking up the “Steps” to the Tec. Arts building, or having to park out at the duck pond, because just look at it like this, at least it is some what level. EVERYTHING here is on a HILL, a big, very steep hill!! But all and all, I must say things are going great and I hope to meet some more peo ple soon. I have been trying to get involved with some clubs and organizations up here. I’ll update every one on getting involved up here later!! Well till next time, stay warm, speak to each other in the halls, meet new people, watch the complaints and get involved with Student Activities!!!
