MR. AND MS. C0U;AR ELECTED

Mr. and Ms. Cougar elections were held recently at
Wilkes Community College. The winners of this
year’s elections were Bobbie Kilby and Matt Collins,
who were both nominated by the Student Govern
ment Association. The nominees were required to be
full time students who had completed at least 1 se
mester at WCC, an active member of the organiza
tion that they were nominated by, and hold a mini
mum grade point average of a 3.0. Bobbie is enrolled
in the Associate in Arts program and plans to transfer
to Appalachian to major in Accounting. She is the
Executive Treasurer of SGA, a member of Phi Theta
Kappa, and a tutor in Student Support Services. Matt
is the Assistant Editor of the Cougar Cry newspaper, a member of SGA, is involved with the WCC Thea
ter, and is a member of Three Rivers Community Church. He is enrolled in the Business Administration
program and plans to get a job in International Sales. The winners received a $20 gift certificate to the
WCC bookstore and a plaque. Other nominees were Ramona Evans, nominated by Student Ambassadors,
Jennifer Reavis, nominated by the Dental Assisting Club, and Mary Williams-Warren, nominated by the
Human Services Club.
