candles and signed their name into the membership book. Each member received a certificate of

Phi Theta Kappa members volunteered for the Fall Festival, held annually at the college. Mem
bers of Phi Theta Kappa ran the hayride. Children participating in the hayride were given
toothbrushes for their treat bags. Members also passed out brochures and shower placards con
taining information about breast cancer to the women attending. Phi Theta Kappa members felt
handing out the brochures important as October was Breast Cancer Awareness month. Phi
Theta Kappa collected items for the S.A.F.E. organization and sponsored 10 children from the
Angel Tree as well. Phi Thetas Kappa members hosted the American Red Cross Bloodmobile
on February 12 and exceeded the goal set by collecting 63 pints of blood. We are encouraging
good health by starting a walking club at the WCC walking track on Wednesdays and Thurs
days, beginning March 19th and 20th. We will be attending the regional convention in Charles
ton, SC in March. We will also be participating in MerleFest activities and the Relay for Life
walkathon. Phi Theta Kappa is also organizing projects for our honor and service topics.
