Cougar Cry
realized how many people there were was get
ting to your next class. You literally have to push
through a “sea of people” to get to your class on
time. This Interview was extremely helpful and
Informative about Appalachian and university
life In general. Although some of the responses
are enough to scare some transfer students, I
believe that most of the Information was Intrigu
ing and helpful to me and hopefully for all of the
transfer students planning to attend Appala
chian In the future.
Meet Francis Ashford
by Letltia Fletcher
Francis Ashford stands 6 feet 4 Inches tall and
plays center for the WCC Cougars. He Is a native
of Durham, North Carolina, and Is entering his
sophomore year here at WCC. He can usually be
seen walking around campus with headphones
on his head and although he looks like he’s be
ing studious, he’s more than likely listening to
the rapper, 50-Cents. I first encountered Francis
In my history class, then again In my communi
cations class, and fmwly my EngHsftclass. Fran
