sha Horton, Ryan Marlow and Clarissa
Mattox. The top 5 finalists performed in the Stu
dent Center on October 1 and once again the student
body had the opportunity to vote for the top 3 stu
dents, which ultimately determined the winner.
On Wednesday, October
8 the final three contest
ants in the WCC Idol
contest performed 2
songs in front of a huge
crowd in the Student
Center. After the per
formances were fin
ished, the results from
the student voting that
took place on October 1
were announced.

2nd. Runner Up
Associate in Arts Program
Ryan Marlow was
selected as the 2nd.
runner up, Farris
Cloer was selected
as 1st. runner up and the WCC Idol Winner was
Kyesha Horton. Ryan received $100 prize money,
Farris received $150 prize money and Kyesha
received $300 prize money. These students did an
outstanding job throughout the entire contest
process and were very deserving of the prize
money that they won. They can definitely be
classified as survivors because they survived a
round of auditions with the WCC Idol judges, and
2 rounds of student voting.
The process for this contest started back
on September 5 when
several students
auditioned before the
WCC Idol judges. On
that day the judges se
lected eight audition
finalists to perform in
the first WCC Idol show,
which occurred on
September 17. The top
eight finalists included

Eller, Kyesha Horton,
Dixie Jarman, Ryan
Marlow, Clarissa
