Genealogy is the study of fam ily descent and the Genealogy Room at the LRC is one of the best around, attracting patrons from all over the United States in search of ancestry. A special thanks goes out to Ms. Betty Baker, a faithful volunteer and lifelong friend of the Learning Resource Center. For almost ten years. Baker has come in every morning and indexed marriages, births, deaths and major events listed in the Journal Patriot from 1935-1975. Due to Baker’s efforts.
