7 «isafer>--r-yi|3F»- PENNI FOR YOUR THOUGHTS By Tammy Stewart Have you ever stopped in the middle of class and won dered where instructors get all the worksheets and tests they hand out every day? I didn’t think so. Have you ever wondered where the college would be without the registration forms or the schedules you depend on to make sure you get to the right place or select the right course? No? Well, neither did I until I worked with the woman who is behind the scenes and observed firsthand how hard it is to make sure instructors get their tests in time or those necessary worksheets to be sure the class is learning. And let’s not leave out the ever so lovely pop quiz! The woman I speak of is none other than our very own Penni Rash in the print shop. She works hard every day and needs to be appreciated for the work she does. While I worked with Ms. Rash, the phone rang count less times and I lost count of how many people came to the window with additional orders. She is always working on more than one thing at a time and the only time I saw her sit down was when she was working at her computer to edit, print, or even create from scratch an order that came in via email. Every time I see Penni, she has a smile on her face and is happy to help in any way she can. The next time you see Penni Rash, let her know how much of an asset to this college she is and just how lost this cam pus would be without her. I, for one, have learned to appreciate the people who work behind the scenes and I hope after reading this you will too. Keep Penni in your thoughts the next time you get that study guide that will help you ace that next test. Kristen Macemore’s Surprise Baby Showers By Kelia Adams Kristen Macemore, business instructor at WCC, was pleasantly surprised last semester. Her pleasant sur prises were two surprise baby showers! The surprise baby showers were given by her Spreadsheet I class and her Introduction to Computers class. Refresh ments and gifts were presented at both baby showers. Mrs. Macemore is expecting her first baby boy this month and she is very excited. However, she is con cerned about wintry weather conditions and her baby boy’s arrival date. The Cougar Cry Staff would like to extend their best wishes to the Macemore family! \ Congratulations to Kristen and Jamie Macemore \ on the birth of their son Luke Quinton Macemore / ^ on Saturday, February 19th! ^
