ALUMNI NOTES.
Thinking that quite a few of
the Alumni and Old Students
would be interested in knowing
just who was present at the ban
quet in Greensboro on February
20th, it has been deemed advisable
to append below a list of the
guests. A slight examination of
the list will reveal the fact that
twenty-one of the twenty-six
classes which have graduated
from Guilford were represented
at the banquet, a fact which be
speaks the truly representative
character of the gathering. The

WEBSTERIAN NOTES.
The Websterians had a good
society Friday night. Most all
the fellows were out and a good
program was rendered. The most
interesting number was a debate:
"Resolved, that the short ballot
should be adopted in state, count v
and municipal elections." The af
Urinative was represented by J.
\V. McCall, A. L. Riddick and D.
S. Coltrane, while the negative
was defended by Fred Morris, W.
A. Julian and Ralph Yow. The
question was one of interest to
all. Each speaker showed a good
knowledge of the subject and got
into the discussion and made it it
heated one.
Mr. Brown as critic for the
evening commended the debate
and encouraged the new men in
their tight for the improvement
medal to be given this spring.
