4 GUILFORD LOSES TO ELON AND TRINITY ('Continued from first page) ford, 3. Time, 1:40. Umpire, Hen derson. Of the Trinity game tlie less said the better. For about five innings Edwards held the visitors down to one run and it looked as if a closu game was in prospect, but Guilford's green team blew up and Trinity romped around the bases. A home run with three on base was one of the many disasters. The inability of the infield to handle bunts was one of the causes of the trouble. Edwards showed some good speed but an inability to tighten up at crit ical moments. The final score was 12 to 2. Trinity R. H. The regular meeting of the Science Club on last Wednesday evening was in the form of a camp supper. Promptly at five o'clock a happy crowd loaded with pots, pans and all necessary articles for such an oc casion set out for the camping ground over beyond the old pond. Prof. Brinton had preceded the crowd and a blazing camp fix*e was there to greet the club. Immediate ly every one hastened to get "pup pie" sticks but this time there were no puppies. Instead each person was given a generous slice of steak to broil. As usual Prof. Brinton presided over the pancakes and the aroma of Miss Gainey's unsurpassed coffee filled the air. Lettuce and pineapple sandwich es were very much in evidence and Fudge such as only Prof. Brinton and Annie Shamburger can make completed the menu. Just as darkness began to decend over the earth a band of jolly, but tired scientiests wended its way back to the campus, feeling that another; happy memory of Guilford was add ed to its string. GLEE CLUB ENTERTAINED. On Monday afternoon, April 14, the Aeolian Glee Club was entertain ed on the campus in front of Foun ders Hall by Prof. B. V. Gouvcheni an, the director of the club.
